Our goal is to raise $45,000 this year to continue our award-winning programs in NC, SC, NY and IN; to offer free writing classes to young people in Western North Carolina at area libraries; and to give workshop scholarships to low-income writers.
Only your tax-deductible donation will make these worthy goals possible! A $50 donation will establish you as a Friend of the Arts, and help us towards our fundraising goal. A donation of $75 or more includes a year's membership, which entitles you to discounts on all workshops and contests.

A monthly potluck is held on the last Friday of the month, from 6-8 pm. at The Writers' Workshop, 387 Beaucatcher Road, in Asheville. Members and guests are invited – please bring a dish to share, a poem or short story to read, and your books for sale!

May 18-21, 2017: FOLLY BEACH WRITERS’ RETREAT
Join us for our bi-annual Writers’ Retreat at Folly Beach, near Charleston, SC - an ideal place to relax, write and review each other’s work. Participants will engage in a total of 6 sessions, led by Workshop instructors. Carpooling from Asheville is available. The all-inclusive rate (except for meals) is $495 for a private room, or $450 shared. The commuter rate is $55 per day.
